What is a Site Brain?

Site Brain is Cromanion's name for the model of a website that its agent builds before it is allowed to act: what every page is for, what it offers, what objections it raises, where conversions happen, and what the brand looks and sounds like. Every autonomous optimization system needs some version of this; without one, its decisions are generic by construction.

Why does an agent need a model of the site?

Because without one it can only apply templates. A system that does not know a page is a support article, a pricing table or a checkout will treat them alike — which is how automated tools end up offering a discount to someone trying to cancel.

The model is what makes a response specific. Knowing that this page's job is to answer objections, that the objection it answers is about delivery time, and that the call to action below it leads to a cart, is the difference between a relevant sentence and a generic nudge.

It is also what keeps an agent inside the truth. A model built from the site's own words gives the system a bounded set of things it is allowed to say, rather than a blank page and an instruction to be helpful.

What does the crawl capture?

Four things: each page's role and content, the conversion goals it can find, the brand's palette, typography and voice, and the claims the site itself makes — so anything said later traces back to something the site already said.

Page profiles

What each page is for, what it offers, which objections it raises, and which calls to action it carries.

Conversion goals

The forms and flows that look like success. Proposed for the owner to confirm, never counted unconfirmed — a newsletter unsubscribe and a checkout are both form submissions.

Brand

Colours, type and tone, taken from the site so an intervention reads as part of the page rather than as a widget bolted onto it.

Claim ledger

What the site states, per page, so a later claim can be checked against a source rather than generated freely.

Does the model stay current?

It is refreshed rather than built once. A site changes — new pages, new offers, new prices — and a model that stopped updating would slowly begin describing a site that no longer exists, while sounding just as confident.
